World Maths Day!
What a wonderful day it’s been celebrating Maths across the school!
In Linmere, we have focussed the day on fractions, looking at unit and non-unit fractions. The children did really well and completed lots of activities. They completed work in their books, made up colourful Jelly Bean Jars and did some great outdoor fraction work.
We also shared a really funny book: How many jelly beans? It was a lot of Jelly Beans for one day! We got to vote for our favourite Jelly Bean flavour too, bubble-gum ended up being Linmere's favourite!
Finally, the children took part in a special celebratory assembly at the end of the day where the winner of the Jelly Bean jar was announced, congratulations to Annabelle who was a very close runner-up!
