A Brilliant First Week Back at Blakemere!

We’ve had a fantastic start to the new school year here at Blakemere! The children have settled into their new routines beautifully, showing great enthusiasm, kindness, and an eagerness to learn. I’m incredibly proud of each and every one of them.

This week, we’ve jumped straight into some exciting learning activities. We have written and displayed our reading book recommendations, wrote kenning poems all about ourselves, and created a timeline exploring key moments in British and World history. The children approached each task with creativity and focus—what a wonderful way to begin the term!

A special congratulations goes to Ava, who won our raffle ticket prize this week—well done! I’d also like to celebrate Ernie, Toby, Courban, Ava, and Alice, whose work was selected as excellent examples to share with the class. Fantastic effort from all of you!

Looking ahead, I’m really excited for next week and all the learning adventures it will bring. Just a quick reminder: PE will be on Tuesday and Friday, so please make sure children have their PE kits in school on both days.
