What a Wonderful Year in Delamere!
What a truly wonderful year we have had in Delamere Class! As we reach the end of our Year 2 journey, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all the incredible memories, achievements and special moments we have shared together.
We cannot thank our children and families enough for making this year so special. Our Delamere children have certainly lived out our school vision to "Let your light shine before others" and their lights have shone so brightly that we have needed sunglasses to keep up with them!
There have been so many reasons to celebrate. We have watched children grow in confidence as readers, with some reaching all the way through the colours of the reading rainbow to violet. We have been amazed by the fantastic writing produced this year, from imaginative stories and thoughtful diaries to fascinating non-chronological reports. Alongside this, the children have worked incredibly hard to develop beautiful handwriting that they can be proud of.
Our classroom has also been filled with creativity and curiosity. We have loved singing together, learning new songs and performing with enthusiasm and confidence. We have become talented puppet makers, designing and creating wonderful characters before bringing them to life. There have been many opportunities to express ourselves as artists too, using a variety of materials and techniques to create colourful pieces of work that showcased both imagination and skill.
Science has been another exciting adventure this year. The children embraced their role as science investigators, asking thoughtful questions, conducting experiments, making predictions and discovering how the world around them works. Their enthusiasm, curiosity and determination to find answers have been wonderful to see.
We are incredibly proud of our little leaders. Whether serving as School Councillors, becoming Agents of Change, helping classmates, leading learning in the classroom or simply showing kindness every day, our children have demonstrated what it means to be ready, respectful and safe. They have shown compassion, responsibility and a willingness to help others shine too.
Beyond the classroom, the children have embraced every opportunity that came their way. From sporting achievements and learning to swim, to exciting trip t Delamere Forest and unforgettable residential experiences, they have approached every challenge with courage, resilience and smiles on their faces. They have stepped out of their comfort zones, tried new things and discovered talents they never knew they had.
Most importantly, we have watched each child grow not only academically but also as a person. They have learned how to be good friends, support one another and celebrate each other's successes. They have laughed together, learned together and created memories that we hope will stay with them for years to come.
As we say goodbye to Year 2 and look ahead to the next exciting chapter, we do so with enormous pride in everything our Delamere children have achieved. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. They have brought joy, laughter, energy and enthusiasm to every day.
Keep letting your light shine, Delamere Class. We are so proud of every single one of you and cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish in the future. ✨💛
Schools Out! Now go and have a great summer!
