Delamere's Weekly Blog - 13.03.26

Date: 13th Mar 2026 @ 12:49pm

Wow, what a fantastic start to swimming we have had! We have been amazed by how well the children have coped with the changes to their routine. They have all been so brave, confident and resilient when trying new things. We cannot wait to see their progress over the next two weeks! A massive thank you to all of you for your support in making sure the children have everything they need each day.
Unfortunately the second two pool sessions were cancelled today due to issues with the pool but we will be back to normal on Monday.

English
In English, we have been writing about the night-time and imagining what Plop might see from the rooftops at night. The children have produced some fabulous sentences using adverbs, expanded noun phrases, and commas in a list.

Art
In Art, we completed our mono-printing project using carbon paper. The children experimented with layering colours, using different pressures, and exploring sketching techniques. We used these skills to create mono prints of African animals—and they look fantastic!

PE
In PE, we continued developing our hockey skills and practised hitting a target. Zaylah and Robyn were our standout stars this week for their fantastic skills and determination.

RE
In RE, we explored different Bible stories and discussed what Christians can learn from them, including David and Goliath and the Stilling of the Storm. We then thought about ways that we can communicate with God and how Christians talk to God through prayer. We imagined what we might say if we could send God a text message and the children came up with come gorgeous ideas.

Easter Service
It is that time of year again when we are getting ready for our Easter Service so we have attached Delamere's song below for your child to practise at home.

Celebrations
Numbots Superstars: Archie, Kelsey and Coby! A huge WELL DONE to all of our home readers this week. Keep it up—it makes a real difference!

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
