Hatchmere's Class Blog 13.3.26

We have had another super learning week in our classroom.
In literacy the children have felt cross that the girls took the Bog Baby out of his natural habitat. Hatchmere have role-played what they might say to the girls if they were the Bog Baby. They wrote their thoughts down using the sounds that they know. We have had some fabulous responses; 'I want to go back to my home', 'put me back in my habitat', 'you are making me sick'. Wonderful work Hatchmere.
Our Drawing Club created their own Superbug to help with jobs in the classroom. We have created spiders to help hang the coats up, butterflies to tidy the home corner and a worm to sharpen the pencils! Hopefully we will have a nice realaxing week next week with all the extra help!
This week in maths Hatchmere have continued to embed the skill of '5 and a bit' and explore part part whole models presented in different ways. We have certainly put our counting skills to work! Have you heard that we can count up to 100 using our number pattern of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9...we need a little bit of help with which is the next 10 but then our number pattern starts again and we are away.
Our gorgeous Spring flowers are on display and they look beautiful. The children have also put their crafting skills to work and made cards and gifts for a special person in their lives. We have also got messy with some clay as our Bog Baby modelling begins...phew! Such a busy week.
