Merry Christmas!

This week we have embraced the Christmas festivities in full force! We have had present wrapping, Christmas Tree decorating, Christmas Dinner and a Carol Concert! We have created some gorgeous Christmas Cards and played traditional festive games...musical chairs anyone?

The pantomime was a huge success! I can confidently say that this was one of the best that I have seen and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the children dancing, joining in and full belly laughing at some of the antics on stage. We had a marvelous time. Many thanks to Mrs McGarty and Izzy who volunteered to join and support Hatchmere for the occassion.

The children have acted as Santa's little helpers and treated the people that help us in our school. Thank you to Mrs McFarland, Mrs Rutherford, Jane, Tina, Carly, Sari-Ann, Kirsty, Charlotte, Mr Teece, Miss Boydell and Mrs Snowdon! It certainly takes a village to ensure our Hatchmerians settle into full-time school confidently and what a fantastic first term it has been.

The leaders of the classroom have had the pleasure of choosing their favourite Wake n Shake songs each day. I have included the links to the dances below. I have also added a link to Biggleton. These lovely short episodes show the children how to use their imaginations in play and promote inclusivity. We don't take part in the Biggle Wiggle though...we always change it to the Hatchmere Wiggle!

We have very sadly said goodbye to our Reading Elf, Herbie Hatchmere. It is time for him to return to the Elf Library and prepare some new books for next year. As a very generous surprise, he gave Hatchmere all of his favourite books as a gift for reading him so many beautiful stories. Thank you Herbie!

Lastly, how amazing were our gorgeous children re-enacting The Nativity Story in our church? They absolutely blew my socks off and I could not be more proud of their performance and beautiful singing.

From all of the team here in Hatchmere, thank you for your generosity and support! Have a lovely Christmas and a very happy New Year.
