We have had a fun-filled week in Hatchmere.
Thank you to all of the adults that I met during our consultation evenings. It was lovely to spend some time celebrating your child’s school journey so far. Are we ready for Year 1? I’m not sure I’m ready for them to go!
The children have been re-writing the story of The Gigantosaurus’ in their own words. We have seen fantastic sentence planning, beautiful handwriting and excellent sounding out. Well done, Hatchmere.
Each day this week, the leaders have chosen which Wake and Shake song we should dance too...each day has been different. I have added the links below to each dance chosen. We love our morning Wake and Shakes and the children are becoming excellent dancers.
Lots of our Maths activities this week involved using our skills to solve a problem, discuss and reason with a partner and develop our understanding of ordination. I think the children surprised themselves with their mathematical skills and knowledge this week.
Our Dinosaur Picnic was a success! The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing one of their favourite stories, with their adults. You will be happy to know that the T-Rex was caught and is currently on his way back to Jurrassic Park. Thank you to our fabulous Hatchmerian families for a joining us for a lovely afternoon. I’d also like to send a big shout out to our Blakemerian children who joined us to support the children and played dinosaur and wrangler, you were amazing!!
Hatchmere have said a heartfelt goodbye to one of their friends today. We celebrated their time with us, talked about special memories and made sure they had a fantastic last week. We reminded them that they are welcome to come and visit us anytime and that they will always be an important part of our Hatchmere family.
This week the children have truly let their light shine before others by showing leadership as they confidently chose and led our Wake and Shake dances, perseverance as they worked hard on their writing and maths learning, and love and kindness as they celebrated friendships, welcomed families, and supported one another as part of our Hatchmere family.
