Hatchmere's Class Blog 6.3.26

This week has whizzed by!
Have you heard the news? We have a Bog Baby in our outside classroom! We discovered it on Wednesday morning and the children have been buzzing with excitement ever since. As part of their writing task this week, Hatchmere have been using their describing skills to explain what a Bog Baby looks like....can they describe the Bog Baby to you?
WORLD BOOK Day was a huge hit! The children looked so colourful. Our focus Text was ‘The Mixed-Up Chameleon’ by Eric Carle (he wrote one of our other favourites, The Very Hungry Caterpillar). We had so much fun getting all ‘mixed’ up, but then we realised, that just like the chameleon in our story, we quite like just being us. The children have created some amazing artwork to represent our focus text; it is already displayed proudly on our classroom wall. The picture is below.
Our dedicated gardeners have been taking care of their bean plants and making sure they have enough sun by moving them around the outside classroom. We love planting in Hatchmere and each child has chosen to plant a sunflower too! We can’t wait to see them grow, and with the children’s expert plant knowledge I am sure they will see the fruits of their efforts soon.
Enjoy your weekend and we will see you next week.
