Wow another excitng week!

 

In English, the children have been working hard to edit and redraft their Odysseus adventure stories. They carefully checked their work for punctuation, spelling and grammar, while also improving their vocabulary and descriptions to make their writing even more engaging. It has been wonderful to see how much their stories have developed from their first drafts into polished pieces of adventure writing. 

In RE, we explored how different worldviews can influence food choices. We discussed how beliefs and values can affect what people choose to eat.. The children had thoughtful discussions about respecting different beliefs and understanding why people make different choices. 

 

This week also marked our final violin lesson and concert in Music. The children should be incredibly proud of how far they have come since they first picked up their violins. They performed with confidence and enthusiasm during the concert, showcasing all the skills they have developed throughout the programme. Well done to everyone for their hard work and perseverance! 

 

On Tuesday, we enjoyed Wheelie Day. The children who brought in bikes had lots of fun while developing their riding skills. We also discussed why cycling is so important. Riding a bike helps us to stay fit and healthy, improves our physical wellbeing and is also better for the environment. 

In Geography, we continued our geographical enquiry into our local river. The children investigated the different physical and human features they could identify and then explored a range of videos and images to discover how the river is used today. The children are developing excellent enquiry skills as they learn more about their local area.
