Let Your Light Shine This Easter

What a wonderful week it has been in Years 4 and 5! As we reached the end of term, the children continued to let their light shine through their learning, teamwork, creativity, and kindness. It has been a joy to see them supporting one another, using their gifts with confidence, and living out our vision through their actions each day.

English – From Notes to Brilliant Paragraphs
In English, the children have been learning how to take clear notes, organise them effectively, and use them to rewrite information into well‑structured paragraphs. This skill has really helped them grow as independent learners, showing focus, perseverance, and pride in their written work. It has been lovely to see them encouraging each other and celebrating each person’s progress.

Maths:

In maths, we have consolidated the written methods of multiplication and division. The children retrieved a lot of prior knowledge and confidently demonstrated their ability to apply these skills in their work.

PE:

In PE, we enjoyed a game of Doctor Dodgeball,  a fun and interactive game that kept everyone moving and engaged. The sun was on our side too, making it even more enjoyable!

A Special Moment in Church
We finished the week with a lovely visit to church. It was wonderful to see everyone together, joining in worship and reflecting on the Easter story. The children represented our school beautifully, and we hope they enjoyed the Easter Garden performance as much as we did. Moments like these really bring our community together and highlight the light each of our pupils carries.

Quick Home‑Learning Reminders

A few regular routines make a big difference to your child’s learning.

📚 Reading

Please aim for four reading sessions each week. Short, relaxed reads are perfect.

✖️ Times Tables

Regular times‑table practice helps build confidence. A few minutes each day works well.

✏️ Spellings

Practicing the spellings and meanings at home really supports them in the classroom

Wishing You All a Fabulous Easter
As we head into the break, we hope you all enjoy a peaceful and joy‑filled Easter. Fingers crossed the weather is kind so you can get outside, explore, and enjoy some well‑deserved rest.
Thank you for all your support this term. We look forward to seeing the children return refreshed and ready for a brand‑new chapter of learning, ready once again to let their light shine.
