Wow another busy week in Linmere!

📚 English:
We’ve been working hard on speech punctuation and the children have created fantastic speech sandwiches about the main characters in Beowulf. Their ideas and effort have been brilliant – well done, everyone!

➗ Maths:
We’ve moved on to the formal written method for calculations, and it’s wonderful to see the children’s confidence in their times tables really shining through. All that hard work is paying off! Please keep encouraging your child to go on Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) at least three times a week – it makes such a difference.

🏑 PE:
This week, we created a group dance and developed our hockey skills further. The children loved performing their dance, and we even recorded it so we could enjoy watching it back together – lots of fun and laughter!

🎻 Music:
A huge congratulations to our Year 5s, who excelled in their violin concert – we were so proud of them🎶 Looking Ahead
We’re working hard on our songs for next week’s church service, and we can’t wait to see you all there as we celebrate together. We also have the panto (oh yes we do!) on Thursday. Please remember to send your child with a drink and a snack that can fit in their coat pocket. Lunch will be when we return to school.
