We have had a wonderful first week in Year 4/5 and it has been lovely getting to know one another as we begin the year together.
In English, we have been focusing on neat handwriting and taking pride in the presentation of our work. The children have worked hard to form their letters carefully and produce work they can be proud of.
In Art, we completed some fun activities to help us learn more about each other. We used adjectives beginning with the first letter of our names to create colourful pieces of artwork and designed self-portraits that showed our hobbies, interests and favourite things. These activities helped us celebrate what makes each member of our class unique.
Throughout the week, we have also been learning what it means to be respectful, responsible and safe. The children have shown kindness towards one another, listened carefully and worked well together as they settle into new routines.
It has been lovely to see the children already sharing their talents, ideas and encouragement with those around them, helping to make our classroom a happy place where everyone feels valued and able to flourish.
We are looking forward to the exciting year ahead.
Can we remind you PE kits need to be in on a Wednesday and Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend! 🌟
