Welcome to Oakmere Class!

Hello and welcome to our very first class blog of the new academic year!

This week has been all about getting to know one another, settling into our new classroom and learning the routines and expectations of life in Oakmere Class. The children have been absolutely fantastic and I have been so impressed with how quickly they have settled into their new environment, adapted to having a new teacher and embraced the start of a new school year.

We have spent time exploring what it means to be Ready, Respectful and Safe, and how these values help us to learn, grow and support those around us every day. By showing kindness, listening carefully and making positive choices, we can all let our light shine before others.

Although it has only been our first week, we have already enjoyed a range of activities including art, writing, maths, PE and lots of opportunities to get to know each other. It has been lovely to see new friendships forming and confidence growing already.

This blog will be a place for us to share our learning, celebrate achievements and successes, and keep everyone updated with important information throughout the year. I hope you enjoy following our learning journey!

Next week we will be getting into the full swing of the curriculum and I am really looking forward to working with the children as we begin our exciting topics and learning activities.

Please do not hesitate to contact me through the school office if you have any concerns or questions. It is really important that we work together to make these first few weeks a positive and successful experience for all of the children.

Reading books and folders will be coming home soon, so please keep an eye on the blog for further information. We will also be sending home TTRs login details shortly to support learning at home.
