We’ve had another busy and exciting week in Sandymere!

🌟 Johnka Bar Prize Winners
A huge well done to our Johnka Bar prize winners this week! Thanks to one lucky winner, we all enjoyed some extra playtime—what a treat!

🔢 Maths
In Maths, we have been learning to order and compare numbers within 100. The children have worked really hard on this—especially using language such as greater than, less than and equal to.
Some of this is still a little tricky, so any practice at home would really help to build confidence.

✏️ English
In English, we have started planning our own stories. The children have been full of fantastic ideas and imagination! We are very excited to begin writing them next week.

🌳 Science
In Science, we have been learning how to identify different types of trees. The children have enjoyed spotting differences in leaves and shapes. This will be very useful for our upcoming visit to Delamere Forest!

🛠️ DT (Design & Technology)
This week we completed our final DT project—designing and making a chair for our class Prayer Bear.
The finished chairs were amazing and showed fantastic creativity and effort. Prayer Bear loved them all!

🏃‍♂️ Sports Day – Tuesday Morning
We are really looking forward to Sports Day on Tuesday morning! Children will be bringing their kits home today. Please can they come into school already dressed in their kit on Tuesday.

As a reminder, this should follow our school uniform policy:

• Plain white T-shirt
• Black shorts or black cycling shorts
• Pumps or trainers (trainers are preferable as they stay on better)
• School jumper or cardigan
